That is 10,000 to 19,000 bags of 25 kg a month at 1,260 bags a load. Loads leave on a schedule agreed with the buyer.

How do you deliver maize meal to the DRC?

By road: from the mill in Hammanskraal through Botswana and Zambia, up the Copperbelt to the Kasumbalesa border post, in convoys of three super links.

How many bags fit on a super link?

1,260 bags of 25 kg, or 31.5 tonnes per super link. We run 8 to 15 loads a month.

How long does delivery to Kasumbalesa take?

About 10 days in transit, depending on border delays.

Who handles the export paperwork?

We do: certificate of analysis, phytosanitary certificate, permits and all other cross-border paperwork, with the weighbridge ticket and invoice on every load.

Can you supply other SADC countries?

Yes. Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Tanzania are on existing routes.
